Winemaking: Fermentation in tanks “Lagar”. Fermentation with maceration by foot at aprox. 28-30ºC. Ageing for one years in old casks
Grape Varieties: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca
Tasting Notes: Very dark purple, with good intensity notes of plum and black fig, in a clean and pure profile. The alcohol is well integrated. The wine is silky at first but then the firm tannin appears, revealing its presence. The acidity and the alcohol are in harmony and reveal the big potential of this wine.
Store and Serve Advices: Should be opened two hours before serving and decanted. Serve between 17º and 18º C. Store the bottle on its side, in a cool, dry and dark place.
Food Pairing: Vintage Ports are after meal drinks. Take them with cheese like Stilton or Gorgonzola. But you can also incorporate them into a meal, combining for instance a Steak au Poivre with a young Vintage.
