Winemaking: This port is made from old vines, being submitted to a careful ageing process in small oak casks. Over its 250-year history, Casa Burmester has perfected the classic process of blending wines and this is a magnificent example of its expertise.
Grape Varieties: Old Vines
Tasting Notes: Amber brown. Dried fruit, raisin, dried herb, rancio, hazelnut, walnut, clove, nougat and slight orange on the rustic and savoury nose. Pleasently lifted. Sweet, full and balanced. Cinnamon, chocolate, nuts, citrus and slight herbaceousness. Velvety sweet finish that goes on and on. Easily one of the best 20 years Tawnys.
Store and Serve Advices: Store horizontally at a ± 15º C, constant temperature. Best served at 15 – 18ºC.
Food Pairing: It can be appreciated as an aperitive or on any other ocasion. Ideal accompaniment to nuts, cheeses or deserts.
